The last book I read was by Cupcake Brown, a woman who survived homelessness, drug addiction, prostitution and sexual abuse to become a partner at one of the most prestigious law firms in San Francisco. I loved this book because it was a true story, and those are my favorite types of novels to read. That is because I like to know that what I am reading actually happened in real life. That way, the story is believable and it is easier for me to relate to it. Another reason why I loved this book is because it was so inspirational, and it made me see that no matter what you have gone through in life, there is absolutely no excuse for making excuses. You can achieve anything you want as long as you put your mind to it.
