Keeping The Kids Safe
by admin on Apr.15, 2012, under More Posts
I am a kindergarten teacher and each month we have fire safety month. This month I wanted to get some new fire safety tips for the kids, so I went online and did a Google search for fire safety tips for kids. I think it is definitely important that kids know what to do if they are ever in the situation where there is a fire. Also I want them to know how to not play with matches or other things that can be flammable. I know a few of my students like in apartment buildings and they need to make sure they have an escape path to follow if there is ever a fire in their building.
Trying to cheer up the fire warden
by admin on Mar.21, 2012, under More Posts
I often find the fire warden at work quite evasive. He used to have an outgoing personality and was always sharing a joke. This has all changed. He often does not engage in coversation with employees and often keeps to himself. I think he is still getting over his wedding which was a complete disaster. He was going to get married last year however the day before the wedding, his partner had a change of mind and could not go through with the cermony. She took off overseas and he has not seen her since. I would like to be able to help him but I have never been in the situation. Last week we had a small fire in the workplace and he was great and he remained incredibly calm. I hope one day he reverts to his jovial self.
Running From the Fire
by admin on Mar.09, 2012, under More Posts
I saw a fire last year while I was out on a run. I had actually never seen a real blazing fire before. It was far more terrifying then any inferno I had ever seen in the movies. An apartment building was on fire. It was three stories tall, and on the side of the building there was a three story fire escape ladder. I was petrified that somebody might lose their life in the fire. I watched for a few minutes but the cops and firefighters cleared the scene. I was very relieved to read the next day in the paper that there were no fatalities.
I Wish I Didn’t Get That

Out of all the things that I could have got for the benefit of having something unusual in the house I got a fire hose spare. Don’t even ask me where I am going to put it. It’s impossible to find a place under the circumstances. It is a lot bigger now that I have it in the home and I think that I made a huge mistake. I am going to take this thing somewhere in the morning and donate it to the best fire house safety community that will take it off my hands. Then I’m going to find me something better.
Keep Your Irreplaceables Safe
by admin on Feb.09, 2012, under More Posts
If you own a home it’s likely that you own irreplaceable things inside that home. I know I do and that’s why I use fire safe safes to keep my irreplaceables from ever needing to be replaced. Seriously though these things are real life savers that save your important family documents from criminals, heat, prying eyes, etc.. Recently I did a test with a few different models and found that generally they all do what they are purported to do, keep your valuables safe from heat, and any difference in price is due to other factors, like combination types, etc.
Types of Fire Retardant Sprays
by admin on Jan.19, 2012, under More Posts
fire retardant reduces the combustibility and flammability of materials by blocking the fire or initiating a chemical reaction that stops the fire. There are two ways a fire can be stopped: physical and chemical ways. a Physical way for example, is by cooling the area with cold water over the fire. Some fire retardants break down the polymers and allow the fire to flow away, while others use a chemical insulation to protect the material from fires. Other examples of fire retardants: fire extinguisher, surface coating, and wildfire retardants that biodegrade, which is environmentally friendly. Choosing the best fire retardant for the situation can be a difficult task, but with this starting point, you can see which may work best for you.
The light of safety

Looking up at the full moon reminds me of nothing more than the safety and security that can be offered my family by a carbon monoxide alarm. The soft glow of moonlight is the knowledge shining upon us of whether the house is slowly filling up with the insidious threat posed by carbon monoxide. The fog that passes before the moon is the odorless and colorless threat that is carbon monoxide. The branches reaching up toward the face of the man in the moon are like my fingers reaching up in regret that I might not have made the small investment in safety that is a carbon monoxide alarm. Such sights fill me with gratitude for the advantages that such simple technology can grant my family.

Fire extinguishers are one of thing you own but never wish to use it because no one wants to make deal with fire. This device is hanging either on the wall or in the corner, jurally collecting dust on itself. Main advantage of reliable fire extinguishers are that their maintaining cost is negligible. You have to only shake it either once in month or in a year depends on the manufacture guide you. Fire extinguisher is very simple to use to calm the flames. Just pull the pin out of the top of the device then aim the nozzle at the fuel source. Now just squeeze the lever to release the contents of the device and make a sweeping motion as you squeeze the lever.

The spray used for the prevention of further damage caused by flame by extinguishing further flame caused. This will help us to stop the flames that may spread all over. Fire’s Off FZOFF32 ‘Green’ Fire Retardant Spray is the spray that I have bought recently for the protection and it is affordable. The cost for this spray is 20$ and it is available in outlets and in online stores. The good spray fire retardant must be one which is non volatile and safe. Apart from this safety it must also not cause dark stains on the place where it is sprayed. Hence a very careful outlook must be viewed before having a spray by inquiring about it.
