LIVING IN THE HEART OF THE CITY

by on Jun.29, 2010, under General

I grew up in Jamshedpur in India which is a small town. I moved to Bangalore 5years back to work because it is a metro city and I knew if I work over here I will have a lot of opportunities. I live in a rented house, it is a 2BHK (bedroom, hall and kitchen) with all modern facilities it is a pretty secured place. Though I have to pay a lot for the rent but I am satisfied because I have everything in my reach as it is situated in the heart of the city. I chose this place because my company is nearby my house so that I don’t face problems regarding the traffic issues.

INVITING MY FRIEND

by on Jun.24, 2010, under General

I work six days a week so I have to be in formal dress everyday i.e.; a pant, a shirt, a tie and a pair of formal shoes. But today I took off from work because my friend was coming to see me. So I got dressed in something I usually do not get to wear. I wore a polo neck navy blue t-shirt and a blue denim with a pair of canvas shoes and my Reebok sunglasses. I even changed the way I do my hair regularly; I made my hair in a messy style. Today I dressed myself so that my friend won’t meet a businessman; I wanted to meet him as I used to be in the earlier days.

MY DREAM HOUSE

by on Jun.21, 2010, under General

As per now I am a middle class person with a limited salary and many liabilities. But I have always dreamt of a house which has every possible luxury within it. Including a 4D theatre, a Gym, club house, mini golf course, a swimming pool with sand and palm trees surrounding it, a separate guest house, a church, seminar hall, servant quarters, parking inside the house covered with transparent glass, everything controlled by a remote, a bank with the highest security, helipad on the roof and many such things that a 7star hotel could have. These things are practically not possible for a middle class person but give me sheer pleasure imagining it.

MY FIRST MOTOR CYCLE

by on Jun.18, 2010, under General

I was 17 when I got my first motor cycle. It has a great importance in my life. I worked really hard to get it. I remember the d

ay when I asked my father for a new motor cycle because every friend of mine was having one. My father said a phrase which I still remember “buying an elephant is nothing but feeding him is the real job”. It meant that buying a motor cycle was nothing but I need to refill the fuel for using it. So he said I am going to buy you one but I will not pay you for the fuel and he asked that “Can you manage to afford the fuel all by yourself?” I said nothing that time but I asked my mother for some money so that I can sell cigarette in the carnival which was very near to my house. After 15 days I spoke to my father and said “see I just made thrice the money I took from mother, so now are you convinced that I can manage the fuel charges by my own”, that time he was speechless and the next day I got a new motor cycle. I remember the time when my friends used to make fun of me while I was at  the carnival selling cigarette but I paid no attention to them because I was focused towards my goal and I also started earning. So my first motorcycle is very near to my heart.

THE MISSING SHOE

by on Jun.15, 2010, under General

I have been the notorious child in my family. Being the youngest at home I was loved the most by all family members. Everybody was afraid to let me out all alone by myself for playing with my friends. I remember that my mother used to lock the door so that I could not escape for play. But I waited for everyone to fall asleep and when the opportunity came I used to through my pair of shoes on the roof and then I used to climb up to the roof and jump out with my shoes heading towards the play ground. But when I came back my grandfather took the blame on himself for letting me out so nobody knew what was actually letting me out in the afternoon. But one day I threw my shoes to the roof and I climbed up and searched for my shoes and found one shoe missing. But I ignored it and left for the playground. When I came back I saw my mother with stick and a shoe in her hand. But fortunately my grandfather the savior came for my rescue. I asked him that how did they knew what was happening so he told me that after I left to play our neighbor came with the missing shoe and complained about how she was hit by my shoe.  This was my best childhood memory.

STRESS BUSTER

by on Jun.10, 2010, under General

My life has become very busy in past couple of months. I have to work hard at my work place which leaves me tired enough so that I do not have much of leisure time to hang out with my friends. I have been staying alone and my home town is very far from my place to visit at weekends. So having fun is playing games on my computer and watching movies. On my working day I download movies and on weekends I see them all. And I play games daily which has also become a stress buster for me. I really enjoy the little fun that I have on weekends playing games and watching movies.

FEAST

by on Jun.07, 2010, under General

I started living away from my family five years back because of my job. I got a job in a company which is far away from my home. So I learnt how to cook in these very five years. I get bored of having the same food daily and I miss the dishes which my mother used to cook. So sometime I go outside to have my dinner and today was the day I went to a Chinese restaurant to have something which I don’t have very often.  I tried chicken momos and Hakka noodles and believe me it was the best food of this month. But for a daily purpose it’s too expensive for me to afford. So I am waiting for this weekend to have this momos and Hakka noodles again.

Recession had played a vital role in my life. I remember last year I had time to do every possible thing throughout the week. But now the scenario has changed because I come home very tired and it has become a relaxing spot to me. Due to recession companies are sacking employees. And frankly speaking I could have become a victim too. But now I work twice as hard for the same salary as I used to work earlier the recession took place. At the beginning it was just to save my job but now I enjoy doing it. Recession revoked the real me which just perished a long time ago. Now I have unleashed the real potential which was buried inside me. So now due to recession people have became serious regarding their job. Because they know if they won’t do for company, the company won’t do for them. So it’s good to see people working hard and giving their best to the company.
