The Horse Eats Money
by admin on Jul.29, 2010, under General
The most expensive thing that I have ever purchased, with the exception of my car, is the horse that I currently own. I have ridden horses my entire life and have owned a few, but this one is very special. He has excellent bloodlines and has been worked by some pretty respected trainers, and thus came with a $20,000 price tag. In addition, his vet bills, feed bills, and money that I spend showing him add up to quite the bill! If anything was ever worth the money, however, he is. Having him brings me true happiness and I wouldn’t trade him for any amount of money.
The Dream Camaro

If I could have any car in the world, I think I would choose a Camero. I’d have the exterior painted in a dark plum purple color and the interior in a dark gray. I have always thought that those who colors complement each other well and feel there should be more purple cars in this world. I would have to learn how to drive manual before I bought my dream Camero because having an automatic transmission would just defeat the purpose! Right now I drive a ten year old Ford, so almost anything new would be a major improvement!

Automatic fire extinguishers are necessary in every household. Fires are often unpredictable and can spread out of control quickly. Every household should keep at least one automatic fire extinguisher in a common area. Furthermore, every member of the household needs to be trained in the operation of the automatic fire extinguisher. Health Class is for Everyone

My favorite class in high school was always health. Some kids looked forward to this course with dread and had a strong dislike for anyone who would dare to tell them how to care for their bodies, but I felt the opposite way. The thing about health class was that it was equally applicable to everyone. A healthy diet, I felt, was something that we all needed to be informed of. We all needed to know how to avoid the flu. Overall, I liked health because it put everyone on an even playing field. Nobody was exempt and what we learned applied to us all.
Cats Galore

Is there really any better animal in this world than a loyal pet cat? I certainly cannot think of one. Many refer to dogs as man’s best friend and swear up and down that they are “dog people”, but I think in reality these are just the people who have never given cats a chance. Male cats especially, are very friendly and love having their belly scratched. They can be playful and chase a string or a laser pointer. The best thing about cats, I think, is that they are rather low maintenance as pets. You don’t have to take them for daily walks like dogs or watch what they eat so closely.
Craigslist: A New Kind of Classified Ad
by admin on Jul.16, 2010, under General
Craiglist.com is by far my favorite website. Where else can you buy and sell used goods without even worrying about a listing fee? For nothing but the five minutes that it takes you to post the ad, you can find a new owner for your beat up old couch or that gaudy necklace that Aunt Lilly thought was perfect for you. Not only does craigslist.com cater to those who want to buy and sell, it also has categories for job postings and even personal ads. This is really a new kind of classified ad that you don’t even have to leave your home to utilize!
Last Man

If I could do anything over again it would be not dating the last man that I had a relationship with for five years. He was very controlling and at times abusive but I was under the delusion that that just meant that he loved me. I went through five years of hell because I was in a bad place emotionally and didn’t have the strength mentally to leave. It took forever for me to build my self esteem long enough to actually leave the relationship and break all ties with this person. It was the best thing that I’ve ever done for myself. But I would go back and avoid the situation all together if I could.

Foam fire extinguishers should be a must have in any type of establishment to get safety from the accident caused by the fire. An electric spark, unattended cooking cylinders, combustible materials, flammable liquids and various reasons are there for getting fire. Generally the fire caused is categorized into ‘5 classes’ according to its type. For each type of fire, different foam fire extinguishers are there. Never ignore any thing which can cause the fire. And also one should be a must be trained to use and specify the mountable foam fire extinguisher before using, because choosing wrong foam fire extinguishers on different class fire can make situation more dangerous. And check periodically the expiration date of foam fire extinguisher to overcome on such critical situation.
Nursing Home
by admin on Jul.09, 2010, under General
The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do is place my mother in a nursing home. She was 83 and had just suffered from a mild heart attack and her dementia was getting much worse. Up until that point I had gone to her home several times a week to help her clean, do laundry, shop for her, and get her medications ready for her. But it got to the point were she was forgetting things like how to use the coffee maker or how to take her medications even though they were in daily pill cases. I have heart disease and am unable to care for her on my own so I had to place her in a nursing home. I broke my heart, but it had to be done.
Spending time with Family

The thing that I enjoy the most is spending time at home with my family and cats. Nothing makes me happier or in a better mood than this. I happily spend everyday at home doing nothing but taking care of them if I could. I enjoy their company more than any other thing that I can possibly think of. I never get bored when I’m at home there is always plenty to do and I love doing it all. I never have a complaint about doing it. It’s where my heart is and where I belong. I love my human family and pet family.
